Mow's the Word

Mow \ˈmau̇\ verb 1. to cut down standing herbage (as grass) 2. to cut down with a scythe or sickle or machine.

I read this word today and thought that it looked weird. It also sounded weird as I said it in my head. I guess I haven't seen this word in a long time.
